Only the most experienced nurses make up ALN Consulting’s Nurse Leadership Team. They are natural leaders who impart their skills to the rest of the staff, as well as manage their own caseloads.

Lisa Hughes is a registered nurse of 23 years and legal nurse consultant. Lisa has a varied nursing background including experience in hospital, medical, surgical, and orthopedic nursing, home health, long term care, and risk management.
Marguerite Barbacci received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Akron and a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology) from The Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health.

Pat Bentz, RN, BSN, MHA, has over 35 years of nursing experience in multiple areas and has held nursing licenses in Indiana, Kentucky, and Florida. Pat has also served in the military and has previously held Chief Clinical Officer and VP of Nursing positions…
Sandy Hagey is a registered nurse and legal nurse consultant of 17 years. Sandy has a varied legal nurse consultant background including experience in medical malpractice cases and some products liability.
Elizabeth Murray, RN, BSN, LNCC, has been working in the legal nurse consulting field for 12 years and currently serves as a Director at Large on the board of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC).
Monica Chadwick, RN, BSN, LNCC, has been a registered nurse for over 25 years and received her LNCC in 2007. She has trained adjusters on all medical aspects of bodily injury claims including causation, mechanisms of injury, disability and impairment ratings.

Tamri Cutlip, CMT, CBCS, CEHRS, CMAA, has held positions in various areas of the medical field, such as health information coordinator, medical records data extractor, billing and coding specialist, electronic health records specialist and medical administrative assistant.

Meg Defries, RN, BSN, LNCC has clinical experience and has worked in ICU.  She started her own legal nurse group doing defense work for products cases, and in 2000 joined a plaintiff medical malpractice firm in Baltimore.

Michelle Elsesser, RN, BSN, has 17 years of nursing experience and has her clinical career has focused on cardiac are, both in-hospital as wall as in the community as a homecare nurse.

Teresa Knapp Crawford, RN, began her career in long term care in 1994, starting out as Assistant Director of Nursing, then primarily as Director of Nursing.

Missie Smith, RN, BS, MSN, has been a registered nurse since 1994. Missy supports ALN Consulting’s medical records reviews and organization.
Molly Kennedy, RN, MSN, CPNP, has spent the past 20 years practicing as a PNP at a private pediatric practice. In addition to being a solid LNC, Molly brings pediatric expertise to her work.
Michelle Quick supports the ALN Consulting office, organizing records, scanning, and creating invoices.
Mentor Program
ALN Consulting has developed a unique Mentoring Program, which is an investment in the legal nurse consulting specialty and our clients. Our nurse’s are recruited for their superb communication skills and diverse clinical backgrounds. Each nurse is handpicked for his or her role and undergoes an extensive training process with one of ALN’s Nurse Leadership Team.
